Problem Solving in China

Recently, I’ve been getting a lot of questions on how to handle business in China. I have my own style, however, smart business is about methodology. There are some rules I follow to solve problems with quality, remove the root cause and prevent recurrence of the same or similar issues:

  1. Create a team
  2. Describe the problem
  3. Implement and verify containment action
  4. Identify the root cause
  5. Formulate and verify corrective actions
  6. Correct the problem and confirm the effects
  7. Prevent recurrence and standardization
  8. Congratulate the team

I know this may sound silly, but it does enhance the quality of the products and gives customers confidence.
