All-in-1 Plastic Bottle Manufacturer: From Design to Blow Molding
PET Bottle Design & Manufacturing Services
Want to create plastics bottles but don’t know where to start?
Blow molding accessible for anyone!
We set up the Plastic Bottle & Blow Mold Package in a way that anyone from entrepreneur to medium or large business can create blow molded products affordably. It also doesn’t matter where you are in the process, since we can do the design files for you or can work with the design files that you already have. PET bottle manufacturing is the most popular blow molded item, but we can realize pretty much any custom bottle or other type of item you might need.
The blow molding production process seems complicated at first since a lot of aspects have to be determined. From CAD files to print files to samples and making steel or aluminum molds, there are several steps that have to be arranged. We as your plastic bottle manufacturer can gladly guide you through all of these. Other plastic bottle suppliers charge a lot for molds and have very high minimums, while we bundle many orders and do the blow molds ourselves. This allows us to offer a more accessible solution and help you directly with all steps along the way.

Why Our Plastic Bottle & Blow Mold Package?
Get support from A-Z to lower cost and make any type of bottle or container!
It’s not a requirement for you to know much about the technical details for plastic bottle manufacturing and blow molding. We help with the entire production process and can get started with as little as some sketches by hand or some reference products along with instructions. We as you plastic bottle supplier have the experience to help with anything from concept design to the final production run. We can do any material from PET, HDPE, PP, PS, PC and more. We can also gladly take care of the caps, labels and other related aspects.
Once you sent your design files or we create professional design files with you, we can do a 3D printed sample first to confirm the exact shape and dimensions. This step is important since changes become really difficult and expensive once the plastic blow molds were already created. The blow molds are your property and you can handle them as you please. We can also gladly arrange the mass production for you, along with any assembly or preparation that might be necessary before the filling and further handling by you. Plastic bottle manufacturing is simple when you break it down in clear steps.
How to Make Plastic Bottles & Other Blow Molded Items
1. Concept Design
The first step should always be to have a clear plan for your plastic bottle design. For this purpose, we start with a concept design file including technical drawings outlining the shape and dimensions. This document is the basis for the following CAD files and blow molding considerations.
2. Check Related Parts
It’s also important to have a coherent plan for the cap, label and other packaging aspects. We as your plastic bottle supplier review and coordinate these parts, so that they can be included for the following 3D and design files. Thread length for instance has to be considered for the caps and the material chosen influences both.
3. Create a 3D/CAD Drawing
There are no more important files in plastic bottle manufacturing and blow molding than the CAD files. You can of course send yours if you developed them on your own, but they should be verified and double checked for manufacturing aspects in any case. It’s also only possible to quote your bottle based on these files since they determine the exact shape.
4. Get the 3D Printed Bottle
Before it can be moved on to the making the actual blow molds, you should verify the final blow molding design. For this purpose, we do a custom 3D print so that you can hold it in your own hands. The material will be different from the mass-produced bottle, but you can see how exactly the final shape and size will be.
5. Make Your Blow Mold
6. Arrange Production & QC
Once the mold is approved, we as your plastic bottle manufacturing company can directly start with the mass production. All related aspects such as lids and labels are arranged as well. An inspection Is conducted after every production step to ensure that everything is according to the highest quality standards.

Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM QUANTITY THAT I HAVE TO MAKE FOR CUSTOM PLASTIC BOTTLE MANUFACTURING?
The minimums here are caused by the manufacturing technique for making the plastic bottles. We don’t set these as your plastic bottle supplier but they are economical. Pretty much all HDPE or PET plastic bottles are made with a technique called blow molding. Simply speaking, raw plastic material is heated up and blown into the shape of your custom plastic bottle shape. The blow molds for this have to be carved out of steel or aluminum, since the liquid plastic is very hot and a lot of pressure is involved. Carving these molds into massive metal blocks by CNC is a lot of work and expensive. Therefore, you should usually have a minimum quantity of usually 10,000 bottles. The mold cost per bottle is otherwise too high and the overall cost for lower quantities of plastic bottles would not be reasonable. Please contact us and we can discuss the options with respect to your design and requirements.
ARE THERE LESS EXPENSIVE ALTERNATIVES TO THE BLOW MOLDING PROCESS FOR MAKING BOTTLES?
For other products, we can usually offer 3D printing for small production runs, simpler material molds or even 3D printed molds for low volumes. However, plastic bottles and blow molding have special requirements. It’s not possible to 3D print plastic bottles with transparent material so that they look and feel as you are used to plastic bottles. The flexibility and transparency of common PET bottle for instance can only be achieved with blow molding. Only with professional blow molding the temperature and pressure are sufficiently high to get the plastic into that desired bottle shape. Therefore, we can test 3D print bottles so that you check the design, but there is no real alternative to the mass production of plastic bottles with blow molding. Regular injection molding and plastics manufacturing has easier low volume options.
CAN I MAKE THE BOTTLE DESIGN FILES WITH YOU AND TAKE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE? OR USE MY OWN?
WHERE IS YOUR PLASTIC BOTTLE AND BLOW MOLDING FACTORY LOCATED?
We do most of our plastic bottle production at our facility in China. It’s not only cheaper to produce custom plastic bottles there compared to North America or Europe. Since the supply chain integration of plastic raw material and molds is better there, faster lead-times and more material flexibility as well as lower quantities are better to achieve there. This generally applies for all non-special needs plastic manufacturers. As long as you don’t have very large and regular just-in time production runs, it’s usually the better option to produce in Asia. Just contact us if you have any concerns about logistics or similar aspects.
IS MY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP) PROTECTED WHEN YOU CREATE A BOTTLE DESIGN FOR ME OR I SEND YOU MINE?
Sure, we can gladly provide a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). All files and ideas you send us will be treated confidentially and all designs that you create with us are your property and under your ownership. We understand that certain plastic bottle designs are created to separate you from your competitors. When manufacturing plastic bottles with us, also the blow molds are your exclusive property, won’t be used for any other projects and you can get them any time you want. Please get in touch if you have any concerns.
