We design everything from the internal printed circuit board to the external enclosure. All designs are made from scratch to your requirements and concept.
If you have specifications for part of your product, or want to adapt an existing product, we focus on the remaining design work. From concept to mass production, every stage can be covered.
We are also an electronics manufacturer with own and partner factories in China and Vietnam. Your design is checked for economical, reliable production.
Six steps. The prototype and production steps are optional.
Start with a clearly defined concept. Functionality, dimensions, parts and materials set early reduce revisions in every later step.
CAD or 3D files define the enclosure and hardware dimensions exactly. They can be used for injection molding. The circuit board must fit within these limits.
We plan the PCB together with the external design files. We create the board with mass production in mind, based on professional Gerber files and flashing, and debug any issues.
We prototype the PCB alone or the entire product. We usually 3D print the enclosure and arrange the other parts so the sample is as close to final as possible.
A complete bill of materials gives you a reliable production cost estimate. Parts are chosen for price and value. Packaging can be planned here as well.
We set up a production line in our own or a partner factory. We check incoming materials, production steps and the outgoing product. Delivery and logistics can be arranged.

We handle the technical work, including electronic design automation (EDA) for the PCB(A). You define the functionality and product concept.

The first milestone is your approval of the concept and technical design files. These include Gerber files for the PCB and CAD files for the enclosure.
We can build the prototype right after design approval. You test the function in your hands before mass production.
What clients ask before they start.
Both are possible. We design the entire product, or only the PCB for your existing product or production line. Larger clients with their own production lines often update an existing device and assemble it themselves. In that case we ask you to send your current product or a tested PCB prototype. For smaller consumer electronics with a simple injection molded enclosure, it is usually more economical to do design and production together.
No. Our services are arranged in packages, step by step. You can do one step with us and stop. Some clients design themselves and ask us only to review and arrange production. For circuit board designs of existing products, it is common to start directly with sampling.
All electronics and PCB designs you make with us are your intellectual property. Your ideas and design files are treated confidentially and used only to coordinate your project. We always sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before you share your design, or you can send your own. We share all EDA related files, such as Gerber and CAD files, with you. Intrepid Sourcing & Services™ does not produce any products for itself.
You can take the design files made with us elsewhere. We work towards a long-term partnership, but there is no obligation. You can also send us design files you already have, and we review them without any other phase.
Yes. For an existing product, we can go straight to product development with the necessary changes. Concept work is not needed then. For a prototype or production, the files must follow industry standards and cover everything. We are flexible with file formats and software.
